THE LEGENDARY HALL WELCOMES THE GROTLINGS MULTI-ROW REGIMENT
SMALL BODIES. BIG TROUBLE. TOTAL CHAOS.
Painted by Andy (@andy_amieva)
Today, we have the honour of welcoming to the Legendary Hall the Grotlings Multi-Row Regiment, painted by Andy (@andy_amieva).
Andy chose this little horde to become part of his army — and, from what he tells us, it won’t be long before their ranks begin to grow.
WHY THE GROTLINGS?
“The main reason I chose this model to paint and add to my army was the design. I simply think they’re incredible!”
Their poses have a lot to do with it. The Grotlings were designed to interact with one another in a dynamic and wildly chaotic way: small groups that, when brought together on the base, create that wonderful sense of movement and mayhem that suits these creatures so perfectly.
IS THAT EVEN A WEAPON?
“The fact that they’re holding all kinds of objects as weapons is brilliant. Spoons, sticks, broken bottles, a head…”
And it’s no coincidence that the result is so much fun.
While Felix was working on the Grotlings, AoW Legendary Makers joined in by choosing some of the peculiar weapons and objects they would carry: a ladle, forks, a fish, a bottle, a mushroom...
In the hands of a Grotling, apparently, anything can become a weapon.
PART OF AN ARMY
“I chose this green colour scheme so they would fit in with the rest of my army.”
And that’s exactly what we see here: a little mob where every Grotling retains its own personality while clearly belonging to something much bigger.
AND THERE ARE MORE TO COME...
“I have more Grotling miniatures in different poses waiting to be painted, and I’ll definitely paint them, so hopefully I’ll be able to show them to you in the near future.”
We certainly hope so, Andy.
Because if these little troublemakers have already managed to fight their way into the Legendary Hall, we want to see what happens when the rest of the horde arrives.
Thank you so much, Andy, for sharing your work with us and with the entire Avatars of War community.
Welcome to the Legendary Hall, Andy.
